Prayer & Worship
Worship and prayer are at the heart of our community life.
We are committed to creating a space where people can connect with God and one another in meaningful ways. Whether you are new to faith or have been following Jesus for many years, our worship services and prayer opportunities are designed to help you grow spiritually and experience God’s presence in your life.
Prayer Opportunities
Prayer is central to our life as a church. We believe in the power of prayer to transform lives, bring healing, and draw us closer to God. We offer various opportunities for prayer within our church community:
Personal Prayer Appointment
If you require additional prayer or would like to speak with someone about a particular concern, you can schedule a time to meet with our Minister, Laura Digan. Laura is available to offer prayer, support, and guidance as needed.
Prayer Before the Service
Before each Sunday Service, members of the church are encouraged to gather to pray for our leaders, our worship and our community. If you can, please come along at 10.05am to pray with us prayer.
Prayer After the Service
Following each Sunday service, members of our prayer team are available to pray with anyone who desires it. Whether you have a specific need or simply want someone to pray with you, our team is here to support you in prayer.
Community Prayer Walks
Every week, faithful members of our congregation walk through the Whiteinch community, praying for our neighbours, local businesses, schools, and the broader area. These prayer walks are usually held on Wednesdays and have become a significant part of our church’s outreach and intercession.
We value families and children at Whiteinch Church
Before and after each service, we welcome everyone to join us for tea and coffee, offering a relaxed space for fellowship and connection within our church community.
Our minister, Laura Digan, engages young people at the end of each month through discussions and activities that help them explore their faith.
Our Worship Services
At Whiteinch Church of Scotland, our worship services are a time of celebration, reflection, and connection. We gather every Sunday at 10:30am for a time of Spirit-filled worship that blends contemporary music, prayer, and teaching. Our services are relaxed and intergenerational, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to join in worship.
Throughout the year, we will gather with churches within our cluster to worship at various times like Pentecost, Holy Week or Christmas.
Twice a year we are encouraged to go deeper with God in retreat. Please keep an eye on our Blog and What’s On sections to watch out for the next retreat.
Prayer and Reflection
Prayer is essential to our worship services. Following a time of music, we enter a period of prayer and reflection to connect with God and hear His voice. This leads to a sermon that examines God’s Word and its relevance to our lives. We also engage in discussions, prayer, and creative activities, creating space for God’s Spirit to move among us.
Music and Worship
Our worship is vibrant and expressive, featuring a mix of modern worship songs and heartfelt hymns. We encourage everyone to engage in worship in a way that feels authentic to them, whether through singing, dancing, flag waving, or creating art. We believe that worship is a personal and communal experience, where we can freely express our love and adoration for God.
Communion
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month. This sacred practice is an opportunity for us to remember and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and to renew our commitment to follow Him. All who believe in Jesus are welcome to partake in Communion with us.
